AppSynth: Version 4

AppSynth: Version 4 from David Moore on Vimeo.

Ran into a major problem with my file. Lost about a week's worth of work. There are definitely some things I need to fix before this is portfolio worthy, but all-in-all, I'm pretty happy with where it (almost) is.
I may abandon the phone's home screen if I make this a portfolio piece. I'd like to integrate the sound with the design, so that it seems like it is actually recording. I also want to fix the main menu design, the transitions, demonstrate more of my planned out functionality, and of course design the entire "sampler" portion of the app. This would include a photograph-what-you-just-recorded option (which I'm pretty excited about.)

AppSynth: Version 3

Completely different, and much improved (I hope). Still no sound, which I'd like to change. I removed the phone's home screen, which wasn't really working, as well as the app's main menu, which didn't fit the new style.

AppSynth: Version 1

Recorder/sampler/synthesizer android app. The first 24 seconds. Draft number one-ish.

Short and Sweet. Like a Taffy Hobbit. What? Dunno.

Just fer funzies...

I should probably mention that "Bunker 511" was being considered as a name for UVU's BFA Project students' design group. I think we're going with "Bunker." No 511. The commercial kind of hinges on that number. Needless to say, I'm crushed.

Squares Vs Circles Rough2

Not quite the way I want it at the end. Counterpoint: I am bored of this project. Check and mate!

Brief Opening Credits Styleframes

SCRIPT ONE (panels on left):
Music and EQ graphic play
Color box enters left, revealing upside-down "produced by" text
All elements rotate 90 degrees, color box exits right
Equalizer lines drip down, color box with "directed by" text emerges above the dripping
"Directed by" box topples, lands, and exits bottom as dripping lines rotate 90 degrees
Title appears. "starring" falls down from "life," "david" from "starring," and "moore" from "david"
EQ lines sweep right, wiping screen of all text but "david moore."

SCRIPT TWO (panels on right):
Glowing shapes and letters float up from slowly rotating textured plane with faded horizon line
"Produced by" orbits into view above "John Doe" emerging from plane as 3D wall at an angle
Animation slows briefly for readability
"Produced by" orbits away as "Directed by" orbits into it's place
"John Doe" wall flips horizontally, revealing "Jane Doe" on the reverse side
"Directed by" orbits away as Jane Doe sinks into plane
"David Moore in My Life" lights up one word at a time, staggered depth implied
